For more than 25 years I have photographed women across the GTA — and the women who move me most are the ones who arrive nervous, certain they aren't "photogenic."
The 40 Over 40 experience exists for them. For you. To prove, with light and lens and time, that the woman in the mirror is more beautiful — and more powerful — than she has been allowing herself to see.

Am I too old for 40 Over 40?
Not even close. 40 Over 40 isn't about looking 40 — it's about celebrating the woman you've become, whatever decade that is.
Can I participate if I'm 60 or 70?
Absolutely. We've photographed women well into their 60s and 70s. This experience is for any woman ready to see herself differently — there's no upper age limit.
Do I need to bring outfits?
We'll plan your wardrobe together on your consultation call, and you'll receive a styling guide beforehand. Bringing a few favourite pieces is welcome, but nothing is required in advance.
Do I have to be comfortable posing?
No. Every pose, angle and expression is directed by Carla throughout your session — you're guided the whole way, so you never have to know what to do in front of the camera.
Can I bring a friend?
Many women prefer to make this time entirely their own, but if having a friend along would help you feel more comfortable, mention it on your consultation call and we'll figure out what works best. (Carla — confirm your actual policy here if this needs to be more specific.)
How much should I budget?
That depends entirely on what you choose to take home. The session fee is $399, digital collections begin at $1,200, and wall art & folios begin at $1,800 — you're welcome to select just one or combine pieces. We'll help you find the right fit on your consultation call.
What happens if I don't like the photos?
Because every session is fully guided — posing, expression, lighting — by the time we reach your reveal, women are consistently surprised by how much they love their portraits. If something isn't landing for you, we'll talk it through together at your reveal appointment. (Carla — confirm if you have a formal satisfaction or reshoot policy; adjust this answer if so.)
