I was once hired to capture a baptism, and the priest did not allow ANY photography. I tried to capture a photo with a long lens from the back of the church without flash, and he called me out in front of the entire congregation.

A typical baptism photography session lasts about an hour if we are only at the church covering the ceremony and a short period before and after for additional photos.

Absolutely! Many families extend the photography session to include getting ready for shots at home or reception. This adds a personal touch and provides a comprehensive story of the day. If you add in the home, I allocate 40 mins for photos plus travel time to the church. And if you add the reception we typically go straight there to capture all the details you’ve spent time planning to make the venue beautiful and the occasion special. When you arrive we take some photos with the family and cake then leave before everyone sits for dinner.
