Glamour photos. Celebrating Empowerment and Confidence: 40 Over 40 Portrait Exhibit for Women

Glamour Photos, the 40 Over 40 Portrait Exhibit, was held in Milton, Ontario, at Hugh Foster Hall on May 25th, 2023. It was a remarkable celebration of empowered and confident women over the age of 40. After all, we live in a society that often focuses on youth. This event stands as a testament to the strength, wisdom, and beauty that come with age. During the last few months, I have captured captivating female portraits. And finally, we showcased them at the Ellahrika 40 over 40 exhibits. Finally, the exhibit offered a platform for women to cherish themselves and each other. Here are a few photos of the event and a few snippets of the stories of these incredible women.

Embracing Individuality and Empowerment

Further at the core of the 40 Over 40 Portrait Exhibit is the celebration of individuality and empowerment. Because I believe that every woman over 40 has a unique story to tell. Therefore she deserves to be seen and celebrated. By showcasing these extraordinary women, I aim to inspire others to embrace their uniqueness. I want all women to feel empowered in their skin.

The Glamour photos Gallery above showcases each of the 40 women over 40 who took part in the exhibit.

Here are a few of the things women shared about themselves and about ageing.

>
““I feel stronger and more confident. Perhaps it’s a sense of peace that comes over you when you hit this age. The little things don’t matter anymore.””

Carol Anne Schneider

>
“Live life to the fullest no matter what your age. Have no regrets. “Put on a happy face”. More people will smile back at you!”

Gale Bale

>
“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”

— Quote Source

>
“The biggest myth is that men age better than women. That is not true; rather, it is a society that allows men to age, not women. I’m glad this is pivoting and we are now embracing women being who they are in their 40s 50s 60s and beyond. Beauty is ageless.”

Carole Aldred

>
“In essence, my life is starting over again (in my 70’s). I have a chance to reinvent myself. At my age and with my life experience I have discovered that the path I take is the one I chose to take. My plan is to make the best of the rest of my life.”

— Linda Campbell

>
“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”

— Ann Marie Hall

>
“Now, my fifties. I am the most confident I have ever been. Having finally grown into my authentic self, I am saying yes to myself, to new experiences, and to new challenges. I am taking chances and so far I am loving this version of myself. There is so much more to try, to see, to dream and to conquer.”

— Celia Bento

>
“I value time now more than before. I try to be more present with time and with the people, I care about. It’s fleeting, and you don’t know when your time is up.”

— Michelle Tyler
